The Annual KIWASCO Stakeholders meeting took place on the 27th March. Stakeholders drawn from various sectors including Hotels industry, Schools, county government, county assembly gathered at the Kisumu Hotel to discuss pertinent issues which are of interest both to the Stakeholders and KIWASCO itself. The Event was graced by Mr. Salmon Orimba, CEC Water, Irrigation, Environment and Natural Resources – County Government of Kisumu, KIWASCO Board Chair, Mr. Israel Agina, Board Members and KIWASCO Ag. MD Mr. Thomas Odongo. The Stakeholders present got a chance to receive report from the Board chair and the Management on the progress of the company and the gains made during the previous year. The company and the stakeholders also got a chance to discuss the challenges they face and possible solutions to them.

Among the issues highlighted by stakeholders included; Amoth Owira, Principal Nyabondo High School expressed his concern that sometimes the school goes without water even for three days over weekend which affects the boys since they do their cleaning over the weekend. He was asked by the Ag. MD to invest in tanks for water storage since the area experiences water rationing. Michael Oliech from Seme County said that he was impressed that problems facing Seme Sub County were being looked into.
