Themed “Nature for Water’’, it was not only a KIWASCO affair, the local community also joined in and offered support in planting the trees. Speaking during the event Water CEC Mr Salmon Orima said” I thank KIWASCO for organizing this event, if we don’t conserve and care for the environment, we are pausing a health hazard to the community.
He added: “Today’s occasion is to mark world water day, we plant trees on world water day because today’s theme is Nature for water and this means to have trees in water catchment areas and increase forest cover that will enable the county to have more water.
